  1. Taking video of a butterfly on a flower seems ingenious to me. I think it appears different than to the naked eye.

    1. Hi Mae:)
I just happent to go into the garden with camera in hand to take pictures of the Tree Lilies because they had just started opening. To my surprise, the Butterfly decided to get into the picture so I pushed record, lol...I was very lucky:)

  2. Wow, they're going at it, aren't they. Looks like they don't miss the butterfly bush at all (though you might). I guess I should try using the video feature on my camera--see how inspirational you are!

    1. Hi Inger,
I think they do miss the Butterfly bush but settled on Tree Lilies. The smell they emit is truly intoxicating, I guess the Swallowtail couldn't resist:) I had no idea you could upload video on blogger with such ease. It took me so long to finally find out how, although it is quite easy if you use the compost screen in blogger, which I don't but will more often, now, lol...I'm sure Wordpress has an upload feature also. You really should go for it. Just think of the possibilities!

    1. HI Kathy!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos. My Butterfly Bushes are not going to bloom this year. Actually, I thought they were lost for good because of the harsh Winter we had but they are showing signs of life and hopefully they will recoup before the weather gets cold again, finger crossed:)

  21. Hard to believe you could get that close to a butterfly! The still photo of him sitting on the flower is just spectacular, and the videos are nice! I think the video feature on cameras these days is just astonishing, especially by comparison to "super-8" movies that people used to make waaaay back when, don't you?

I hope you stay dry this weekend, Louise; the storms are supposed to stay west of us, and, hopefully, west of you!

    1. I know Marjie. It really was more of being at the right place at the right time. The butterfly was too busy I don't think it even noticed me, lol...Super 8? Oh my, I do remember those, the technology has certainly changed and in this case, all for the better I think:) No storms for us, so far...
