Garden Tuesday and “See Ya”

Garden Tuesday is a bit late this week, but, I have an “excuse.”

I hope the Oriental Poppies don’t bloom before I get back:)

Usually by May I have gotten things pretty organized in the yard. Alas, as you all know, this year has been most unusual. I’ve been trying to get as much done as possible outside while attempting to do do a bit of Spring cleaning. You can just imagine my delight when the other morning I discovered so many Rose Geranium flowers greeting me all at once. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to take their picture in the AM but I managed to get one later on in the evening while coming in from the garage.

Aren’t they “purty”? The room they are in is quite small which works out really well because when those flowers pop, the room lights up with a delicious fragrance! It also happens to be the entrance to the house too. I haven't gotten any complaints:) Intoxicating! There are four geraniums blooming in that room. Sometimes, it’s a bit overwhelming, deliciously so, off course:) Just think of all those leaves I’ll have when I get back too! You might remember how much I adore Scented Geraniums:)

Yes, you “heard” me right. I’m leaving for Idaho tomorrow! I am sooooo excited! It will be the first time I’m seeing my daughter since her operation last year. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is now cancer free!!! And doing fantabulous!!! Marion finished the hats for the Relay for Life event in June. Michele requested purple as a symbol of her title as a Cancer Survivor!

I would love to be there for the run but we all decided it was probably better if I went to the recital this year, especially since I missed it last year. While we were hashing it out, my granddaughter teased me with this picture of her and Noah in their Easter “outfits.” Actually, Tabi changed her clothes immediately after church because she didn’t want to get them stained. Honestly:) So, prepared Tabi, dug up this number to lure me into visiting in May rather than June:)

When they still weren’t sure I was convinced to visit in May instead of June, they reminded me of how much fun they had with their Uncle John when he went for a visit in March. Don’t ask me who/what Arsenal is. You probably know better than I do:) Since my son owns a comic book store, I’m thinking it has something to do with comics but I’m probably way off base, lol…

What really convinced me, and my daughter agreed, was this picture Tabi emailed me. It’s the preview of their recital costumes. Seriously, how COULD I resist!!!

However, between you and me, this visit is all of the above and so much more. I can’t wait to see Michele’s amazing supporters model their hats for me, that’s Michele in the black:) Michele has a couple of doctor appointments which will also give me a chance to thank them all again. (I’m bringing them a little taste of Pennsylvania:) I’ll get to see my son-in-law. I can’t wait to hug him and thank him for taking such excellent care of my daughter. He really is one hard working terrific husband and father:) And...
Sunday is Mother’s Day!!!

So there you have it, Garden Tuesday and a wave goodbye:) I won’t be blogging or spending much time, if any, online while I’m in Idaho. I’m not even bringing my computer! I’ll use Michele’s if need be. I won’t be back until just before Memorial Day. Depending on how things go, I should be posting that week. Marion’s son is coming to stay while I’m away, which really is comforting. He’s also my designated waterer:) In case I don’t “see” you before June, have a GREAT Memorial Day and for those of you who will be “playing” the Picnic Game this year, start thinking about your letter, I’ve been getting a lot of emails wondering whether we will be “playing” again this year and the answer is absolutely YES!!! Remember last year’s???

I want to thank you all for your sweet comments. I promise I’ll catch up when I get back:) Have a GREAT next couple of weeks, ”See Ya” Louise:)

Dearest Louise, Wonderful post and your geraniums are doing nicely. I am so thrilled for you that you will be going to see your daughter and family. Such a true blessing that everyone will be well and enjoy your time, every moment! Your grandchildren are the cutest and I love the costumes. it should be a blast to see the recital. It is so important to be so thankful not only to the Doctors but your son-in-law. He sounds like the perfect man for this big job! To be there through everything, showing love, and caring is what it is all about. So glad that Marion's son will be able to visit with her and hold down the fort! Another blessing for you. The hats that Marion made are awesome and I am sure they were made with love. Your daughter Michele seems to have a wonderful, loving, and supportive group of friends to be going through all she went through. That is so important, to have the support of others, I for one know that first hand! Well, Louise dear friend, I wish you a safe and fabulous trip, take photos, and enjoy. We all will be thinking of you. Just think that when you get back you will have so much to tell us. Hugs, blessings, and I will be waving, see you soon....Dottie :)
